Not sure what to say?

Liam, I just heard the news of your father's passing and on behalf of my Dad, Bob Peterson we send you our deepest condolences. Our parents spent so many great times together - police events, personal travels and oh my the parties! Dad and I shared some of the wonderful memories of times past with the Snowdons and the Petersons.

I was a young constable when Bill got the Chief´s job at the Victoria Police Department in 1980. His emphasis on Community Policing suited me well, and I was soon a school liaison officer. Group of 10 Memorial Trees

We met Bill and Evie Snowdon in Ottawa in 1978 when Bill was under contract with the Solicitor General. After moving to North Van we continued holidaying together at 100 mile House, Long Beach and the much loved Yellowpoint. We will always treasure our times with Evie and Bill; Evie with her joyful sense of adventure and Bill with the twinkle in...

Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. The last few years I enjoyed the 9th floor view of the sea from his flat. Vaya Con Dios!!

He had a vision of Community Policing being a pathway to reducing crime, and under his leadership, community police stations sprang up all around the city. He was one of those people who generated trust and confidence. Years later, I worked at the BC Gaming Commission when he was appointed as a Commissioner. My job was to review applications and make recommendations to the...
