I was very dishearten by the news, and my deepest heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Though my memories of Bill were from a very, long time ago, I recently got to spend some time with him. He was very welcoming and gracious, the same man that had a big impact on my life in my early developing years. (I feel more than grateful that I was able to squeeze him tight). Both he and Pat were a stable factor in my life during my teenage years, when my home life was filled with unrest. ...

My condolences to the family. May the comforting promise at Hosea 13:14 strengthen you at this difficult time.

Bill Topps was a great man. The beautiful family he leaves gives testimony to that fact. As a child, this cousin was my favorite playmate. We explored the world of Hamilton Ave and shared fun adventures. We never worried too much about consequences or punishment because we knew we were loved unconditionally. Our love and prayers our sent to my sister, Pat, and her family. Bill will always be remember for his humor and stories. He will truly be missed. God Bless him and keep him close. Love Dawn & Sam

Patricia and family, I married into your family and have been blest. Bill was such a sweet, accepting, and supportive guy with a beautiful smile and cute sense of humor/wit. Made being an in-law easy and I will forever be blessed having him in my life, esp. as my friend. May God bless you all and help you focus on the positive memories you have of him to help us get through our hurt. You are dearly missed Bill!!! Rest in peace!!

It was hard to say goodbye to a man of this caliber, who had meant so much to us for our entire lives. But he was ready, even if we weren't. We miss him already, and will fill the hole that's left with our memories.
