Billy and I were fraternity brothers at Florida State where we created many memories and built lasting relationships. I can truly say we were friends for life. I will always remember his passion for Florida State, politics and his family. Pat, Patty Ann and I send our sincere sympathy to you and your family in this most difficult time. I already miss his many emails and telephone calls.

I am saddened. Billy was an important part of my youth. A great friend. A special person. Such good memories. Sending prayers that Billy is at peace and that the Van Dyke family will find peace after losing this wonderful husband, father, brother, cousin and friend.

I thank you for your love Billy, such as my first telegram; first set of encyclopedias; motorcycle rides; Rockbrook Camp send offs and caring for Oatmeal; your availability and brotherly love; keeping an eye out for me on the HAV-A-TAMPA floats; watching FSU games and the gift of Dad's oil portrait that hung in your home.

I chuckle about your contagious laugh; pine cabinet ping pong; garage wall tennis; paying me with the same quarter over and over again for scratching your back and quail hunting, fishing, swimming, boating and family times at Merry Acres.

More recently, I have enjoyed receiving from you the articles of interest from the Tampa area; real estate guidance; chats regarding the 2016 elections and the introduction to Ward and Hedy.

God gives awesome gifts. I feel so blessed that we had the opportunity to dot the i's and cross the t's. Billy, you have been a godsend. I love you, my big brother. I lift each of our friends and our family in prayer. We will miss you. Rest easy. Thy Name be praised, Thy will be done.
