Remembering Bill fondly the many times I met Marguerite and Bill at Gatherings.
God Bless.

Marguerite and Rebecca, my condolences to you in Bill's loss--and the Coalition's. He lived a full life and we will all miss him. You're in my prayers in this Christmas season.

His gentle touch, wry wit, commitment to justice, and his all-around-goodness, will not be forgotten. God be with you and yours, Marguerite.

Dear Marguerite,
What a faithful servant Bill was. I am saddened to hear of his death and lifted by the fullness of life which he embraced. Thank you for the wonderful obituary. What a tribute to him. I think of the two of you often and am glad to connect with you once again.
Blessings to you and yours,

Marguerite - What a beautiful journey you have traveled. Thanks for sharing the history of Chicago with me. Peace.

Rev. Bill was such a graceful gift of God's presence on earth. It was a profound privilege to know him. May The Lord bless you all with the peace of feeling His love - and Bill's - in your hearts, now - and evermore.

We bless God for her radical child Bill Voelkel. He recieved me into his home from a late night flight into snow bound Cleveland Hopkins on December 12, 1962. When my life changed he stayed friend and comrade. Far more important was his commitment to the Church at a movement of God's justice and compassion, equality and acceptance of everyone. He was empowering servant of Jesus.
Love to Marguerite, and abiding comfort. As well love to his daughters Rebecca and Christine whom I...

Marguerite, Rebecca, Maggie and Shannon,
I am so, so, so sorry to hear about your husband, dad, grandpa... May you be surrounded by good friends, good food, and good sleep when your head hits the pillow. Please know you are in Kim's and my thoughts as you face Christmas and entering a new year without him with you.
