Starr and Eugenie,
We are sad for the loss of Zelda and will miss her so much. She was wonderful and so strong dealing with her health problems. Most important I wish to thank her for all her help, assistance and friendship in dealing with my health issues.

I met Z through Cary, my art & antique mentor. I found Z to be equally interesting as Cary & very loving. Z was such a Blessing to me & my wife Charlene when Z took Charlene under her wing when Charlene battled breast cancer. Z's love, friendship, & intellect will be sorely missed.

Sweet and generous. She eagerly taught me about fairy rings, which I shared with my children. Delightful memory.

Zelda was a special friend that helped me through a tough time in my life,Breast Cancer. I met Zelda at Book Bazaar in 2002. I had just started Chemo treatments and Zelda was done with hers. She helped set me up at Cancer Services for a wig and additional hats, scarfs of her own. We were good friends for ten years. Zelda was such a giver- food, things and most of all herself. I will miss her smiles and hugs. :)

There are no words to say how much Zelda will be missed. She touched so many lives here in Baton Rouge that almost everyone you mentioned her name to that not only knew her, but didn't say how much they like her. This will always be thus. After Cary was gone she told me that all the people who called and invited her out we're been so good because of him. I agreed everyone thought the world of this special, special man....but that they were doing this also because of herself and watch it will...

I just learned of Zelda's passing. She will be greatly missed. I always enjoyed her cheerful smile at our monthly Rosh Chodesh gatherings. She had such a big heart.

I knew your mother through the LSU Book Barn. I was extremely fond of her, and admired her so much. She was so interesting, and dynamic. She refused to let her illness define her. I will miss her, and all the ways she made my job so much more fun. My heartfelt sympathy. Anita Adams

Hello Starr,
Your mother invited my boys and I over for dinner when we moved to Baton Rouge. She cooked a delicious meal and gave us a tour of her spectacular garden. I will miss her greatly.
