Rev. Martin E. Lundi, age 81, of Silverton, Oregon, was called to his eternal rest on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born October 25, 1934, in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was the seventh child of Finnish immigrant parents; his mother arrived from Finland on the Titanic. from 1956-1960 he served as a personnel specialist in the U.S.Army.

Pastor Lundi was ordained June 21, 1964. Pastor Lundi was a public school teacher before going into the seminary. His first call was to the Pacific Southwest District to develop Christ The King in Walnut, California and Mt. Calvary in Diamond Bar, California Where he served from 1964-1970. Next he was called to serve Beautiful Savior in Tempe, Arizona from 1970-1978; while there he developed Alleluia on the ASU campus in Tempe in 1971 and Gethsemane in Tempe in 1976. His next call was to the Northwest District to serve as Associate Director of Parish Services - Evangelism and Stewardship in Portland, Oregon. His next call was to build and deveop Faith in Naples, Florida where he served from 1986-1999. He went on Emeritus status in 1999. Pastor Lundi transferred back to the Northwest District and served the vacancy at Redeemer, Salem, Oregon from 2012-2013. He went back on Emeritus status in 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Micheal,(The Other Woman Cleaning Service); daughters, Ruth Lundi (formerly Holzem), Juli Funrue (Jon) and Emily Lundi-Mallett (Randy); 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and his sister, Ethel Rudolph. Dozens of nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly and will miss him very much. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1450 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples, on July 16 at 10:00 AM, followed by a light luncheon.
