Millie J. Wagner Naples, FL

Millie J. Wagner, 90, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, in Naples, FL. She was a former Shelbyville resident.

She was born Aug. 28, 1922, to Ralph and Olive (Dill) Worland in Shelbyville. She married Richard E. Wagner on Feb. 19, 1943, and he survives.

Other survivors include three children, Terry (husband, Jim) Proctor of Naples, Suzanne Rinne of Louisville, Ky., and Steve (wife, Carol) Wagner of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Brady Walker and Chase Walker, both of Indianapolis, Andy Mervis of Louisville and Cody Wagner of Shelbyville; and sister, Judy (husband, Bob) Cord of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Beverly Evans.

Mrs. Wagner graduated from Shelbyville High School and attended Indiana University. She was a homemaker and employed as society editor at The Shelbyville News where she wrote a column called "Millie's Musings" for several years. She was a member of Tri Kappa and Kappa Kappa Gamma and First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville. In Naples she loved playing golf and tennis.

Memorial contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.

Services were private.
