Barbara Ann (Stimson) Lippold Obituary
Barbara Ann Lippold (Stimson)

Naples, FL

Barbara Ann Lippold (Stimson), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Barbara was born February 12, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Lippold, after graduating from Batavia High School in Batavia, Illinois, and upon his return from serving in the Marines. In 1969, Wayne and Barb moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota, while Wayne pursued his career in the golf course industry. In 1977, they settled in Naples, Florida, to continue Wayne's career path and raise their family.

Survivors include her children, Adam (Terry) Lippold, of Toronto, Ontario, Sue Davenport, Dana (Don) Tracy, Derek (Jackie) Lippold, all of Naples, Florida, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Jo) Stimson of Jacksonville, Oregon, brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Marge Branson, of Batavia, Illinois, and five nephews. Barb is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wayne, her parents, Joseph and Ann Stimson, and her son-in-law, Tom Davenport.

Barb never met a stranger. Her strength in difficult times taught all that knew her that giving up wasn't an option. She lived by the phrases "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" and "I can do this". Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the sales industry, tinkering around her back yard and painting. She will be greatly missed.

In celebration of Barbara's life, there will be a private gathering for family. The family would like to express their thanks for the support and care given by Avow Hospice. If desired, please make memorial contributions to Avow
