Savannah, GA

Kenneth J. Swetz, beloved husband of Wanda, passed from this earth August 29, 2018, after year's of fighting cancer. A current resident of Savannah, GA, he had also resided in Naples, FL and Westchester County in New York.

Ken was born in Rhinebeck, NY and was a graduate of Iona College. After serving in the Army as a military policeman and seeing duty in Germany, he returned to civilian life and began his career working for Golf Magazine. Leaving Golf Magazine, Ken began a decades long career with Katz Communication Radio Division. Ken retired from Katz as President in 1994 to fulfill his desire to be a full-fledged "Golf-Bum."

With a lifelong love of golf, Ken was most proud of his 10 holes-in-one and over 19 club championship wins. Ken was a member of Sleepy Hollow in Westchester County, NY, Wildcat Run and Quail West in Naples, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, brothers; Tom, Edward and James. Sister-in-laws; Angie Swetz, Daphne Haenozel and Mary Little. Many nieces and nephews, and a very long list of golf buddies and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his father; Tom, his mother; Francis, and sister-in-law; Carol Swetz.

Per Ken's request, there will be no services or visitation.

Ken will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
