Ralph Segall was born on August 25, 1924; he passed away on October 9th, 2017 at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie Segall for 67 loving years. He was the father of Margaret Segal, Linda (Kirk) Staff and his "adopted" daughter Somporn Vajiranuroch from Thailand. He was the proud "Popi" of Rabbi Scott (Emily) Segal, Janet (Zev) Jankovic, Jennifer (Jason) Smith and Sean Staff. He was blessed with 7 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and cousins who he adored.

Ralph was proud to be a veteran of World War Two. He served as a medic in the United States Army, landing on the beach in Normandy under General Patton's command. After he and Rosalie were married, they moved to Indianapolis, where for over 30 years, he was the Manager of the Medical Marketing department of Eli Lilly and Company.

Ralph loved the water; he and Rosalie were avid boaters. They had many enjoyable experiences cruising up and down the Ohio River with friends on their boat dubbed the "Sea-Gal". After living in Indianapolis for 42 years, they retired to Naples, Florida where they spent the second half of their lives surrounded by many new friends.

Ralph was active in the Jewish Community serving as President of the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island. He volunteered at Score of Naples as well as Avow Hospice in Naples. He would listen to the stories the patients told him and write down their memories. He would then compose a booklet of these memories to give to the patient which would later become a keepsake for the family.

Ralph was gentle, kind and wise; with a wonderful outlook on life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave. N., Naples, Florida 34108.
