John MacNeill Urquhart

John MacNeill Urquhart 87 passed on January 18, 2018 at Avow Hospice in Naples, FL. Born in Highland Park, MI on January 11, 1931, he lived in Naples and Gaylord, MI (Guthrie Lakes) for the last 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and was a life member of the E.T. Brisson Marine Corp. League.
John was preceded in death by his young son, Brian Urquhart. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jacqueline (Jackie), his son Jeffory Urquhart, daughter Jennifer Lerner, step son Thomas Houghtby (Natalie), step daughter Deborah Gutherie (William), grandchildren Fiona Houghtby, Sawyer Lerner, Jordan Lerner, Lani Lerner, Bree Lerner, Samantha Lerner, Scot Urquhart and many great grandchildren.
He was employed at Chrysler Corporation for 35 years in the sales and marketing division. He loved all baseball and especially the Detroit Tigers and his special music.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 12:30 PM at the North Naples Church Chapel, 6000 Goodlette Road. Interment will be held on February 5 at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
