Marilyn Gobeli Halloran
March 30, 1932 - January 3, 2021Marilyn Gobeli Halloran, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021. Beloved by all who met her and of indomitable spirit, Marilyn was born in Evanston, Illinois on March 30, 1932, daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Gobeli. Her lifelong love, Leo Augustine Halloran, passed away in 2004. She leaves behind daughter Patricia Halloran Garvey, sons Michael Halloran and Kevin Halloran, their spouses, and family including seven grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Passionate about travel, reading, puzzles and more, she was constantly engaged and enjoyed an active lifestyle at the Madison Winter Club, with book clubs, with the American Association of University Women, and a renewed vigor for bridge. A proud scholarship graduate of Syracuse University, she was an ardent fan and supporter of all things Orange. She will be missed by everyone who had the unique pleasure of being with her.

Sorry I learned of this so late, Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was also a very supportive parent for her children Patty, Mike and Kevin and all their endeavors at New Canaan High School. In particular she loved watching Mike and Kevin play on some of NCHS’ historically best basketball teams while Patty was cheerleading from the sideline. Marilyn also didn’t mind pointing out that she played some hoop in her day !! Condolences to her children and their families. 2-5-0
