Patrick Dean Montgomery
Nevada - 43, died Thursday, February 5, 2021, at his home in Nevada.
Patrick was born March 25, 1977, in Ames, the son of Francis "Chub" Dean and Judith Lynn (McDaniel) Montgomery. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1995 and enjoyed playing video games and listening to music. Patrick especially loved Halloween, having some of the best decorations in the neighborhood.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Francis "Chub" (Judy) Montgomery of Nevada; his uncle, Norman McDaniel of Mission, Texas; his aunts, Helen Banks of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Irene Montgomery of Nevada; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his aunt, Anne Knapp; and his uncles, Joel McDaniel and Bernard Montgomery.
Patrick has been cremated and a memorial will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

I hardly knew Patrick, but Judy often told me how he helped her with her car setup, her cell phone and computer problems. I remember her going with him to Worlds of Fun every year because he loved the rides. My sincere condolences to Judy and Chub at this trying time for them.
