Susan Mae Landes, 63, of Tunkhannock, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 9, 2021, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton, with her family at her side.

Born in Plains on Jan. 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late William and Shirley Mae (Logan) Kozerski.

Susan was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1974 and was employed as restaurant manager for Friendly's and Franklin's until her retirement. She then became a fierce and tireless advocate for special needs education and development. She was member of the Assembly of God Church, Tunkhannock.

Susan enjoyed doing crafts and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Barry Matthews on June 5, 2016.

Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Kenneth Landes; children: Lisa Matthews of Ellensburg, Wash., Sara Matthews of Tunkhannock, Joshua R. Landes of Tunkhannock, Patrick J. Landes of Tunkhannock, Matthew I. Landes of Exton, and Barbara R. Landes of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; sister Virginia Chapman and her husband Peter of North Bend, Wash.; brothers: William Kozerski of West Wyoming, Bruce Kozerski and his wife Elizabeth of Edgewood, Ky., Thomas Kozerski and his wife Susan of Bear Creek, and Michael Kozerski and his wife Katherine of Chicago, Ill.; and nephews and nieces.

Funeral services for Susan will be held in Assembly of God Church, 181 Bridge Street, Tunkhannock, with her Pastor Rick Womer officiating, at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church Youth Fund, 181 Bridge Street, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
