Aunt Joan, Terry and Jerry, Steve called yesterday and told me Uncle Louie had passed. I am real sorry for your loss. I have so many good memories about him. Mostly, I remember that we always got a hearty welcome, even when our visits were unannounced. Often, I find myself thinking about St.Louisviille, your home there, and the good times I had there with Uncle Louie and you guys. God bless each of you.

Louie and Joan babysat me and my 2 sisters, Brooke and Ashley. I have so many memories of being at their house. We would go to the wood shop, Joan made me peanut butter and butter sandwiches on white bread, we rode bikes, put pennies on the RR tracks, we planted the garden, and ate the asparagus out of it. He always made me laugh by sticking out his fake tooth and turning his hat sideways. He walked me to the bus in the morning and we walked down the RR tracks to where we meet the bus. He would always yell at me for being to “cool” to zip my coat, and he always held my hand when we walked across the bridge on the tracks because it scared me. We went to the fair, the zoo, they came to my softball games and they let me order 2 pieces of pumpkin pie when we went out to dinner. They were strict, loving and funny all at the same time. I love them, and felt safe and loved when I was at their house!I am so lucky to have had Louie in my life!

Joan and Family, My prayers are with your family at this time. I loved talking with Lewis when you lived at Goosepond. He was so funny. You couldn't get away from him. He told me all kinds of stories. Those stories and funny times will always stay in my heart.

God love him! I have too many memories to list here, but will keep them in my heart. Joan and Lou were not just our neighbors, we were all family. Vacations, homemade ice cream on the back porch, trips to the Ohio state fair. Thanks for so much Louie! Love you all xo
