Nancy D. Malarky
NEWARK: A funeral service for Nancy D. Malarky, age 77, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, at the Newark Church of the Nazarene, 200 South Williams Street, Newark, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Nancy passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio) surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Charles F., Jr., and Marietta (Salkeld) Drew.
Nancy loved her family and friends and was compassionate to everyone she met. Her loving spirit will be missed. Nancy was a member of Zonta, TWIGS #8 of Licking Memorial Hospital and was a board member of A Special Wish Foundation. She was also a member of the Newark Church of the Nazarene.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Allison Malarky. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert G. Malarky, whom she married June 23, 1956; three children, Donald (Ann) Malarky of Findlay, Keith (Mary Jo) Malarky of Loveland and Lizabeth (Bill) Blackstone of Heath; grandchildren, Jayme and Jacob Blackstone, Robert (Andy) and Alex Malarky and Kristen Malarky; sisters, Peggy (Richard) Puhlman of Bethel Park, PA and Mary Jane McLaughlin of Pennefield, NY; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. on Monday, February 4, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, and also from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or TWIGS 8 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
