Sherry E. Shultz

DANVILLE: Sherry E. Shultz, 59, died Sunday February 17, 2013, at her residence.

She was born December 12, 1953 in Millersburg to Glenn W. and Mary Helen (Meehan) Hawkins. She served in the U.S. Army. On July 3, 1974, she married John J. Shultz. She was a RN affiliated with the Licking Memorial Hospital CCU. She was a member of the Jefferson Hills Garden Club. She also loved to read, and follow her grandkids in sports.

Sherry is survived by her husband; John J. Shultz, sisters; Linda (Eddie) Crawford of Warsaw, and Glenda Cassidy of Brinkhaven, her children; Jim (Stacy) Shultz of Danville, Jeff (Tara Oyster) Shultz of Brinkhaven, Kim (Joe) Wilson of Danville, and Tammy (Mike) Crane of Danville, grandchildren; Brandon Wilson, Erica Johnson, Devon Wilson, Kyle Shultz, Jordan Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Breanna Crane, Tess Shultz, and Sophie Shultz, surrogate grandkids; Jordan Crane, Lyssa Oyster, and Winston Oyster, in-laws; Roxie (Kenny) Reiheld, Cheryl (Greg) Sheldon, and Lou Ann Shultz all of Danville, nieces and nephews; Beth Crawford of Mt. Vernon, Mike Crawford of Brinkhaven, Betsy (Tracey) McCombs of Brinkhaven, Brooke (Steve) Baker of Butler, Mary Ann (Jake) Perani of Brinkhaven, Charlie (Shelley) Marmet of Apple Valley, Mindy Marmet and George Cline of Danville, and Ethan Shultz of Danville, and 16 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Glenn and Helen, a brother; Bobbie Hawkins, brothers-in-law; Tim Cassidy and Chuck Shultz, and her mother and father-in-law; Marietta and Bill Shultz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 20, 2013, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial, with Military Rites by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Danville. Calling hours will be from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sorry for your loss. Sherry was not only a wonderful person and nurse but a friend. She loved her family so very much and always talked about her grandchildren. May she now rest in peace.
