Elizabeth M. (Smith) Teeters
JOHNSTOWN: Elizabeth M. (Smith) Teeters, 95, of Johnstown, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Northview Senior Living Center.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10 AM at the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Road, Johnstown, OH, with Rodger Powell and Brian Powell officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.
Mrs. Teeters was born on April 5, 1917 in Columbus, OH the only child of the late Nathan Garrison and Lulu Madelyn (Stout) Coleman. She retired from Tech International, Inc. in 1983. She was a charter member of the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, W. Roger (Martha) Smith of Johnstown; daughter, Patricia M. (Rodger) Powell of Amesville; two step-daughters, Barbara (Marvin) Fleshman of Johnstown and Janet Ashbrook of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Tonja Smith of Worthington, Tyler (Bridget) Smith of Johnstown, Tiffany (Robert) Owens of San Antonio, TX., Brian (Jennifer) Powell of Connersville, IN, Elizabeth Powell of Columbus, and eight great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, George B. Smith; and second husband of 12 years, Luther G. Teether.
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St, Johnstown, OH from 5 to 8 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, OH 43055. An online memorial will be located at www.cksammons.com.
