John Clemings Obituary
Friends and families are invited to attend a funeral service that will be held on December 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. on December 19, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.
John was born April 25, 1936 to Tressie (Lane) Clemings and Harry James Clemings in Newark, Ohio.
John was raised in Newark, Ohio and graduated from Newark High School. John was a devoted husband and father. He lived his adult life in Newark and Hanover, Ohio. John retired from Tectum Inc. and was also a local movie projectionist in the area. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He particularly enjoyed gardening, taking care of his trees, and tending to the fruits and vegetables from the family garden and orchard.
John will forever be remembered by his family, especially his much-loved children, sons, Russell (Becky) Clemings of Newark, Daniel (Anita) Clemings of Marne; and daughter, Jonda Clemings of Newark; treasured grandchildren, grandson, Joseph "Joe" Clemings of Newark; three granddaughters, Andrea Clemings of Wadsworth, Jocelynn Clemings of Rocky River, and Caitlin Clemings of Newark; two step-grandsons, Trevor Smith and Travis Smith of Newark; two sisters, Hilda (Fred) Sheets of St. Louisville, and Sue (Harold) Miller of Erie, Pennsylvania.
John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Yvonne "Vonnie" Clemings; his parents; sisters, Helen Voge, Emma Jean Wolfe; and brothers, Hartzell Gibson and James "Jim" Clemings.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH, 43058-0430.

Rusty and Dusty,
I am really sorry for you and the loss of your Dad. I remember how he was always at those great Valley v. Catholic games we played against each other. He will be missed but he is in a better place.
