Arthur E. McClintock

NEWARK: A Funeral Mass for Arthur E. McClintock, 85, of Newark will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 19, 2013, with the Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. McClintock died at the Heath Nursing Center surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. He was born July 16, 1928 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Walter and Bertha (Crum) McClintock.

Arthur retired from the B&O Railroad where he worked as a brakeman and then as a conductor for 40 years before his retirement.

Arthur was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing cards, fishing, and working in his yard. He was always there when you needed him.

Arthur leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ann (Paxton) McClintock; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Conard; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Wilma McClintock, Robert and Julie McClintock, Larry McClintock, Brett and Stephanie McClintock; his grandchildren, Steven and Carolina McClintock, Lisa and Matthew Austin, Tammy Lamp, Tonya and Troy Orahood, Hollie Fosnaught, Amy Gardner, Sara Ety, Stacey, Crystal, Jonathan, Nicholas, Ethan, Matthew, Andrew, Emily McClintock; 23 great-grandchildren; his sister, Miriam Bolyard; special niece Cindy (Jeff) Hillis, and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his son Steve; his brother Larry; and his sister Mabel Densmore.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M., Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.

I am so sorry to hear of Arthur's passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I know Bob and John. I hope the good Lord helps in your time of grief. Remembering the great times always seems to help.
