Charles (Chuck) Francis Frothingham

PICKERINGTON: Charles (Chuck) Francis Frothingham, 61 of Pickerington, OH (formerly of Troy, MI) passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.

Born on January 24, 1953, to the late Charles Frothingham and Darlene Scharf (Smith) at Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE.

Preceded in death by step-father, Floyd T. Scharf, brothers, Richard Charles Frothingham, and John "Bill" Frothingham.

Chuck was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by brothers, Gary, Richard, Michael and Robert and Clay; sisters, Eileen, Kathy and Stephanie. Even though not related by blood, Chuck is also survived by his friend, Thomas Norris of Ft. Wayne, IN whom he and his family considered a brother. Chuck is also survived by nieces, Tina Kinney and Lisa (Christopher) Fox, and nephews, Mark (Rachel), Bradley (Angela) and Bryan (Lynne) Streets, Zach Bell and many great-nephews and nieces.

Chuck was a kind, selfless, thoughtful, humble, and wonderful man that always put his family before himself. Chuck would lighten the mood of those around him with his keen wit and humor. He was a private man, but often shared his wisdom and insights. He was a mentor, encourager, brother, friend, son and uncle that will be greatly missed.

A 1978 Accounting graduate of Michigan State University, Chuck worked in the automotive industry as an accountant his entire adult life, most recently as North American Tax Manager for Kongsberg Automotive Corporation. He is a U.S. Army veteran.

A Funeral Mass was held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd., North, Pickerington. Internment at Pataskala Cemetery, Pataskala, OH. A celebration of Chuck's life was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish following internment. Arrangements handled by KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME. An online memorial will be at
