Newark - A funeral service for Charles Lorin Masters Jr., 81, of Newark, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Charles, a retired accountant from Frigidaire, passed away July 10, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 25, 1937, in North Braddock, PA, to the late Charles Lorin Masters Sr. and Thelma (Martin) Masters.

Charles was a graduate of Scott High School. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran from October 31, 1956 - October 30, 1958. He was a member of Wright Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served as Treasurer, Lay Leader, Pastor Parrish Leader, and Sunday School Teacher. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Ibella) Masters; daughters, Michele (Michael) Daugherty, Debra Masters, and Christina (Shane) Phelps all of Newark; grandchildren, Darius, Aneesa, Tajah, Tre, Nasrin, Talia, Jibreel, Christian, James, and Ty; brothers, Martin (Carol) Masters and Barry (Sandy) Masters both of PA; brother-in-law, Jon (Karen) Ibella of PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Eleanor "Sis" Pifferetti and Marjorie Costello.
