Judith Anne (Cadot) Stowe Chambers Janssens

Granville - Judith Anne (Cadot) Stowe Chambers Janssens, age 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her home at Kendal at Granville. She was born September 20, 1933 in Columbus, a daughter of C. Donald and Marabelle (Pleukharp) Cadot. She was a graduate of Columbus School for Girls and The Ohio State University. Judy is survived by her children, Steve (Carol) Stowe and Stephanie (Albert) Dantzer; step daughter, M. Kristi (Rick) Smith; grandchildren, Casey, Zachary and Corinne Stowe, Albert and Henry Dantzer and four step-grandchildren. Also survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Keating and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tod Stowe, C. Mac Chambers and Arie Janssens; son, Timothy Stowe and brother, Carel Cadot. Judy's happiness in life was spending time with her many friends. She enjoyed the life-long camaraderie of her classmates from CSG, and readily created new friendships wherever she went. She believed her gift was to be able to get people together, and she was an enthusiastic, tireless and capable organizer in all the communities in which she lived. While in Bexley, she was active in Opera Columbus, Columbus Female Benevolent Society, Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, Amateur Hockey Parents Association, and Twig 128 Children's Hospital. In Naples, FL, she was active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae and served as Past President and treasurer; member and past President of Greater Naples Alumnae Panhellenic; Naples Philharmonic League board member; The Tides Club; Collier County Historical Society and was the first woman to serve on the board of Naples United Church of Christ. Since moving to Kendal at Granville, Judy has been active with the Granville Music Club, Kendal at Granville Residents Association, St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was the President of the College Town House Federated Clubs. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, Granville, OH 43023, where family will receive friends after the service. The Rev. Doris Westfall officiating. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 711 E. Livingstone Avenue, Columbus, OH 43205, in her memory.
