St. Louisville - A funeral service for Mary Pauline Garven, age 93, of St. Louisville, Ohio will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Carol Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, Ohio.

Pauline went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Newark Hills, with family at her side. She was born January 10, 1924, in Eden Township, Licking County, Ohio, to the late Wayne and Blanche (Myers) Nethers. Pauline was a member of the Eden Church of Christ in St. Louisville, Ohio.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for Wolfe Tire Shop in Newark, Ohio, for many years and was also employed as a housekeeper for several prominent Newark families. She also served as a poll worker in Eden Township for the Licking County Board of Elections. She was well known for her baking skills. She richly blessed her family, friends and church with many, many home baked items and with her love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who came in contact with her.

She is survived by her sister, Esther (Forest) Gayheart, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband of 68 years, George, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Catherine (Melvin) Garven.

ln lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Eden Church of Christ in St. Louisville, Ohio, or Hospice of Central Ohio.
