Viola Julia (Regoli) Talbott

NEWARK: A funeral service for Viola Julia (Regoli) Talbott will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at noon, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home in Newark. Pastor Brian Amstutz will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jacksontown Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8pm, on Friday, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street and one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

Mrs. Talbott, age 85, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center in Newark. She was the oldest of seven children born to the late Ferdinand and Margaret (Bruce) Regoli, born on January 2, 1929, in Belmont County, Ohio. For 18 years, she served as secretary at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Newark and had worked at the Licking County Aging Program for many years. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newark, she had served as a deacon, worked in church school ministries, teaching several grade levels, including a college age class and in church women's ministries. For several years she was involved with her children in the Licking County 4-H Band and was a member of the Sons of Italy- Rinascimento Lodge #2486 in Newark.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her daughters, Darla Talbott and Melinda Talbott both of Newark; her grandson, Blake Talbott; her brothers and sisters, Phil (Kathryn) Regoli of Ocala, Florida, Melvin (Ruthann) Regoli of Jacobsburg, Ohio, Midge (Dick) Vannelle of Bellaire, Ohio, Richard (Linda) Regoli of Cooper City, Florida, Regina (late Ron) Meager of Massillon, Bernard (Shelley) Regoli of Gilbert, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Talbott, Jr. and an infant daughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Aging Program or the St. Vincent de Paul Center; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
