Wayne Boivin Foltz
Newark - A memorial service celebrating the life of Wayne Boivin Foltz, age 97, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Terry Amspaugh officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville.
Wayne was born July 11, 1921 in Basil, Ohio to the late Herman Cleveland and Hazel Gertrude (Court) Foltz, all of Newark. He passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Wayne was primarily a farmer but had also been formerly employed with Timkin and Rockwell. He was a proud member of the Licking County Auxiliary Police Force and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by two sons, Roger (Darla) Foltz and Jack (Carol) Foltz, all of Newark; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Bill) Yost of Newark, Michelle (Michael) Brown of Mansfield, Scott Foltz (Dean Pfeifer) of Columbus, Angie (Roger) Cartnal of Heath, Jenna Foltz and Dakota Foltz, both of Newark; eight great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Joan Foltz of Newark; special friend, Pinky Kingery of Newark; and his beloved Dachshund, Izzy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Audrey Wise, Maryellen Berger, Charles Foltz, Roy Foltz, Everett Foltz and Ralph Foltz.
