In Loving Memory…
Orlando G. Perez, "Londo," age 46, of Vanceboro NC, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Greenville NC. Londo was a twin born on April 11, 1972 in Greeley CO.
He was a 1990 graduate of Valley High School, Gilcrest CO. Londo enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and attended Basic Training at Camp Pendleton. He completed Marine Combat Training in 1992. He was a heavy equipment operator and drill instructor. Londo was a combat veteran who served in Operation Restore Hope, Somalia. He received numerous awards and medals for outstanding service. Londo was honorably discharged from the U.S Marine Corps in NC as a Staff Sergeant.
Londo worked as a parts manager at Ron Ayers Motorsports, Greenville NC. Londo had a passion for riding his motorcycle, enjoyed spending time at the beach, loved his family dearly and was a devoted father to his children who were the joy of his life. Londo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who loved to have fun, lived happily, fearlessly and life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by brother Daniel Perez, his grandparents Juan and Ramona (Rios) Gomez, Florencio and Herlinda (Balli) Perez, and nephew Lincoln Hammett. Londo is survived by his wife, Michelle S. Perez, daughters Lanina, Brianna (grandson Nolan) Culler, Haile and Dayna Perez, Anna and son Tyler, parents Jose B. and Maria Ofelia (Gomez) Perez; sisters Yvonne (Greg, nephew Jason) Barres, Yolanda (Daryl, nephew Brandon, niece Brooke) Fox; brothers Joe G. (Susan, nephews Isaac, Ian, Isaiah) Perez, Jr., twin brother Armando (Leigh Ann, nephew Mason, niece Alyssa) Perez, and sister Diana (Darien, nieces Leina, Joelle, nephew Drake) Hammett.
A visitation will be held at Pollock-Best Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, followed by a memorial service.
If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to a in honor of Londo Perez.
