VANCEBORO - Raymond L. Arrington, Jr., 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Mr. Arrington, a native of Beaufort County, had lived in the Vanceboro community. A graduate of Farm Life High School and was later employed with Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill for 36 years. He was a member of Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and hunting with his son and friends when he was able. Raymond Jr was a natural comedian and always had a joke or humorous comment to make you laugh. A humble man with a big heart, a gentle giant, he was a faithful and true servant of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond L. Arrington Sr. and Dora Leigh Morris and a brother, Bill Arrington.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Civeleen Williams Arrington; daughter, Carleen Morris and husband, Danny; son, Anthony Arrington and wife, Christie; granddaughter, Candace Rouse and husband, Brock; two step-grandchildren, Joseph Sawyer and Hunter Nobles; sister, Gloria A Roach and husband, Allen; and special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.
