Thomas R. Snyder, age 59, of Middlefield, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 5, 1952, in Orwell the son of Robert and Mary (Peterka) Snyder.
He was retired, but enjoyed his 20 years of farming at Yuhasz Brothers in Colebrook. He was also a volunteer for the Orwell Fire Department for over 20 years.
His hobbies were camping, being with his friends and family, spending time with his grandkids, fishing and long walks in the woods.
Survivors are his sons, Dan (Christina) Snyder of Pottsboro, Texas and Steve Snyder of Windsor; daughter, Susan Snyder-Hawkins of Windsor; nine grandchildren, Cayla, Terrell, Damien, Nicholas, Shelby, Isaiah, Naomi, Jenna and Brennan; and his brother, Robert (Yvonne) Snyder of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy A. Snyder; and parents, Robert and Mary Snyder.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, at St Mary's Church, 103 N. Maple St., Orwell. The Rev. G. David Wiekart will be officiating.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. March 14, 2012, at the Paine-Guerriero Funeral Home, 140 E. Main St., Orwell.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the family in care of Susan Hawkins. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

God Bless you Tom (pops) . I know you are with Peggy now and you both are very content. You both will be missed more than words can say. The memories we share will be in my heart forever. I sure will miss the gravy you make..,. Im so greatful we had the time to make the memories we have. I will never forget. Save me a place up there please. One day we will all be together again..... Love always and forever...
