David, Debbie, Denise and Darlene,
I drove down Pine Ridge just last week and thought about your dad. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I remember your house as a gathering place for the neighborhood. Everyone was always welcomed. And, there was always a project of your dad's in the garage. May he rest in peace. I hope you are all well. Keeping you in my prayers.

Denise, Darlene, Dave and family,
I was hoping your family would post a death notice for your dad. He was one of my most inspirational patients at Lake West. He told me about his stories during the war with you at his bedside. It was an honor to give him one of our Veterans blankets before he passed away too. What a great hero your dad was to our nation, your family and countless members of our community. Dad and your family continue to be in my daily prayers and Masses. What a hero he was to sooo many! God's Peace and Good Health to you all.

"Boss" Pintar was a huge, positive and influential part of my teen years.
I learned many lifelong skills while working for him on various projects, including the never-ending remodeling/expansion of his house.
As our Explorer Post Scout Master, he took us on adventures that provided some of my fondest memories, and rooted in me a love for the outdoors. Especially notable were the canoe trips to New York and hiking trips in Pennsylvania. Even the rides to these events, with a dozen teen-age boys packed in the green Econoline van, were an unforgettable experience.
When filling in the information about my relationship to Bob, I started with Friend, but changed it to Student. He taught me so much, that felt like a better choice.
Boss Pintar was a great guy who still, 50 years later, is occasionally mentioned in my stories of most-memorable boyhood activities.
