Edward A. Legat Obituary
Edward A. Legat, 85, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on March 6, 2018. He was born in Uniontown, Pa on November 2, 1932 to John and Agnes (both deceased).
Edward was the beloved husband of Beverly (Franko) Legat for 57 years, the loving father of Monte (Kim), Steven (Patty) and James Legat, grandfather of Nicholas, Jenna, Matthew, Jacob, Zachary and Brooke, brother of Cecelia (Rocco) Piccirilli and many nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe, John, Paul, Jack, Ann, Katherine, Agnes and Elizabeth.
Edward was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Era. He retired from GM in 1984. He was a member of the American Legion Post 678 and Broken Wheel Squares. Edward enjoyed square dancing, fishing and time with his grandchildren. His favorite hobbies were woodworking and drawing. He was a lifelong Steelers fan. Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by many.
Funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Monreal Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
