Frank Martin Klarich Obituary
Frank Martin Klarich, 85 years old, died peacefully at home on August 05, 2018.
He was the husband of Mary Jane Klarich (nee: Flaccus). They shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Glendale, W.Va., he was the son of Caroline Klarich Geller and Frank John Klarich, and follows his late sister, Dolores Papirtis.
The former owner of Olde Mill Auto Body, he taught vocational auto body at Mentor High School.
An enthusiastic sportsman, recruit for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and professional boxer, he won two golden gloves boxing awards in the late 1940s, and played for many years on the St. Anselm men's softball team, including as part of the 1967 Cleveland Holy Name Society Championship team. He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church, Newbury and a founding member of Church of St. Anselm, Chesterland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; daughters, Vesta Loucks (David), Mary Jane Klarich, Jr. (Alan Johnson), Kathleen Mackert (Brian); sons, Frank (Tammy Sporcic), Martin (Lorie Gentile); grandchildren, Emily Loucks (Ethan Frolich), Grant and Hannah Johnson, Justin and Halle Mackert, Brittany Snyder (Nick), Ashley, Hunter, Cailyn, Logan Klarich; nieces, Lee Ann Williams, Anita Hannifan, Carole Ann Papirtis Heffner; and nephew, Michael Papirtis.
A private graveside service is planned with interment at Munn Cemetery, Newbury.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his name to St. Helen's Catholic Church's Building Fund.
