Patricia Victoria Diffie

JEFFERSON — Funeral services for Patricia Victoria Lynn Diffie, 76, of Jefferson, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, in the Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darwin Roraback and the Rev. Jose Kumblumkal, C.M.I., officiating. Interment will follow the services in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, with a rosary being held at 7 p.m. in the Chapel under the direction Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson.
Mrs. Diffie was born July 28, 1935, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Jerome Jeremiah Danna and Angela Eleanor Feduccia Danna. She died October 30, 2011, in Longview, Texas.
Patricia was a Jefferson resident since 1967, moving here from Arkansas. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and she worked in Jefferson, Karnack and Hughes Springs Schools as a Special Education teacher for 25 years. Mrs. Diffie had a very giving heart, loved her family and friends and was a woman of prayer. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Mrs. Diffie was preceded in death by her son, Joel Diffie III; brothers, Salvador Danna and Jerry Danna; and sister, Veronica Walker.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Joel L. Diffie Jr. of Jefferson; her daughter and her husband, Mary Patricia and Bryan Maertins of Jefferson, Texas; her son and his wife, Jeff and JuHyun Diffie of Japan; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Diffie of Harleton, Texas; her brothers, Vincent Danna, Dr. Larry Danna and Greg Danna; her sisters, Anita Trice, Cecile Buckley and Susan Danna; and her grandchildren, Joel Isaac Diffie, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Samuel Diffie, Josiah, Jaci, Joy and Joseph Maertins.
Pallbearers will be John Mosley, Wesley Gray, Daniel Roraback, Joshua Roraback, Ken Nance and Bryan Maertins.
