Vicki Vestal Hendrix, 44, of Longview went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005. She was born Dec. 22, 1960, in Longview to Pierce and Ann Hendrix. Vicki was a wonderful mother, a great daughter and a good cook. She loved to help and serve others and touched countless hearts and lives in doing so. However, she preferred to remain in the background and serve silently but diligently. Vicki was a faithful member of the single's class at Church on the Rock. During her working career, Vicki was a nurse at the Diagnostic Clinic in Longview. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Jessica Vestal; her parents, Pierce and Ann Hendrix; brothers, Mike Hendrix and wife, Lynn, and John Hendrix and wife, Becky, all of Longview; and her nephews, Philip, Kevin and Cameron Hendrix. She will also be missed by a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and very special friends. Services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, in Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Klewer officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered at www.mem.com

Vicki will be dearly missed and yet we celebrate the fact that she gets to stand before our Lord Jesus and receive the rewards she has earned. As the Lords takes her hand and says "welcome my good and faithful servant".

We will miss you, Vicki, no one can make cooking look so fun and easy as you could... especially your chocolate covered strawberries.

We love you and can hardly wait to see you when we get to come home as well.

I was one of the nurses that cared for Mrs. Hendrix at the Clairmont five years ago. I am so very sorry for your loss Ann and Pierce. You are in my prayers.
