Dorothy also affectionately known as "Dottie" was born on July 1, 1929, in Washington D.C. to the late William H and Gladys Purcell. Dottie was a polio survivor and as a young girl her family moved to Richlands, VA. where she graduated from high school and went on to marry her sweetheart the late Joseph "Jay" W. Mundy in 1951. Dottie was a proud member of the VFW Post 1590, DAV Chapter 84 and American Legion. Dottie also donated her many hours of knitting for the Boggie Creek Boy's Ranch, preemie baby beanies for Halifax Hospital. She enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, bingo, garage sales and all holidays. Dottie is survived by her son Richard (Val) and their children and grandchildren all of FL.
