Edward L. Preston, 84, Palm Coast, entered into eternal rest June 22, 2009 at Florida Hospital. Mr. Preston was a world renowned trumpet player, who played with some of the countries most talented artists. Mr. Preston was discovered by Connie Conell in Dallas. The family has planned a private service of celebration on Friday, June 26, at the First AME Church of Palm Coast. Friends are invited to share with the family at 10:00 AM for viewing/visitation. Reflections will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Gilliard Glover, Officiating. Cherishing his memories eternally are his Devoted wife, Annette M. Preston, Palm Coast; Children: Wyndell Robert Hall and Jonathan Lyle Hall of Lakeland, FL, Daniel John Sampson and Andrea Lamar Sampson, Palm Coast, Celeste Marie Hall, Lakeland, FL; grandsons, granddaughter, great grandson; a host of other relatives and caring friends. Preceding him in death: one son, Roderick Earl Sampson. Leo C. Chase & Son, St. Augustine are entrusted with arrangements.
