Eldon N. Chandler, 82, of Daytona Beach, passed away June 4, 2014. He was born in Benson, Vermont to the late Howard and Thelma Chandler on April 30, 1932. Eldon served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a dairy farmer. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1590 and American Legion and enjoyed NASCAR. Eldon was predeceased by his brothers Wendell Chandler and Tony Chandler and sister Arlene Slater. Survivors include three daughters and two sons; brother Wesley (Meraline) Chandler of Benson, VT; sisters Millicent Coursey of Weybridge, VT, Ramona Troccola of DeLand, FL, Katherine (Albert) Fleck of Naugatuck, VT, Nardeth Chandler of Naugatuck, VT, Mary Glidden of Benson, VT, Joy Anne (Dominic) Reale of Orange City, FL and Patricia (Joseph) Eckel of Fairhaven, VT; brother in law Leonard Slater of DeLand and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 2pm at VFW Post 1590, Daytona Beach. Interment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
