Eva Jeanne Reynolds Coyle, 94, died at home with family by her side in Palatka, Florida on December 22, 2013. A longtime resident of Holly Hill, her funeral service will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida, on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive guests for a viewing from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Eva was born on August 12, 1919 in West Bridgeport, Pennsylvania to Harvey S. and Eva Edith Thomas. She was married to GySgt 86th Airborne/ Union Pipe Fitter Richard Perry Reynolds for 38 years, until his passing in 1977. She was married to Harold Richard Coyle for 10 years, until his passing in 2000. Eva served as Vice-President, President, District President, and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary at V.F.W. Post 1590 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was very fond of her time spent at the V.F.W. and her contributions were appreciated by many. Even into her early 90's, she packed care packages for the troops overseas. She was known as "Cookie Grandma" for her many years spent working at the Publix Bakery where she eventually retired. She was a very social person and loved to entertain. She especially loved entertaining her family every Christmas for dinner, gifts, and laughter. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She is survived by her son Scott Terry Reynolds and his wife Dianna; her son Richard's wife Josie; her son Bill's wife Amy; grandchildren, Cathy, Bobby, Lisa, Laura, Mike, Matt, Joe, Susanna, Jennifer, Melissa; and 18 great grandchildren. She is reunited with her children Richard James, Robert "Bobby" Jay, Nancie Jean, and William "Bill" Bruce in heaven. Arrangements are under the entrusted care of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
