Harry W. Taylor

Graveside service for Harry W. Taylor, 83, Calle Grande Road, Ormond Beach, who died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Daytona Memorial Park with military honors rendered by V.F.W. Post 1590. Mr. Taylor was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved here from that area in 1986. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in the European Theatre. After 28 years of service, Mr. Taylor retired from Baltimore Gas & Electric. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 1590, a member of the American Legion Post 120, and a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary; daughter, Joanne (Dan) Marsh, Hydes, Md.; son, Richard H. (Tina), Baltimore, Md.; sister, Jeane (Harry) Brown, Palm Coast; two granddaughters, Sarah Taylor and Danielle (Matt) Kiefert; sister-in-law, Emily (Carl) Boroughs; and many other loving family members. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made in memory of Harry Taylor to Florida Hospital Memorial Hospice Care, 875 Sterthaus Ave., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
