Daytona Beach - The Celebration of Life for Mr. Jack Morris, Sr., 79, who passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL, will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00am at Mount Ararat Cemetery, 1427 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach, FL. Calling Hours will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home, 901 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Mr. Jack Morris Sr. was born on July 4, 1941 in Daytona Beach, FL to the late Mrs. Daisy Morris-Fulger and Mr. Theodore Morris. He was educated within the Volusia County school system and graduated from Campbell Street Sr. High School in 1959. Jack also attended Daytona Beach Community College. After graduating, Jack enlisted in the United States Army. He became a Brick Mason and was the owner of M&W Masonry. Jack has played a major role in the development of many buildings in the Daytona Beach area including the Museum of Arts and Science. His hobbies were fishing, being an avid collector and spending time imparting wisdom into his loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Linsey; a sister, Aggie and a Great-Grandson, Devon. He leaves behind his children Jack Jr., Marvin Sr., Karen (Lamorris), and Roland; Siblings, Gussie, Daisy, and Theodora; 14 Grandchildren Jocelyn, Jaclyn, Anthony, Marvin Jr. Keith, Brian, Rashara, Lashaunte (Shawnathon), Novonda, Rakensia, Brianna, Kamyra, Aaron, Thaddeus; Former Wife, Dorcas; 16 Great-Grandchildren; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and Extended Family.
