Mary D. Findley

Mary D. Findley, 76, Daytona Beach, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at

home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 31, at Holy Cross

Lutheran Church, South Daytona, with Pastor David Schillinger officiating. The

family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross

Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach.

Mary was born May 11, 1929, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Frank and Nettie Hamilton.

She moved to this area in 1971 from the Michigan area. Mary was a member of Holy

Cross Lutheran Church. Mrs. Findley was a graduate of the Daytona Beauty

College. She was a hairstylist until she retired in 2004, and was a member of

the Women's Auxiliary VFW #1590. She enjoyed painting. She was was predeceased

by her husband of 42 years, Ervin A. Findley. Survivors include one daughter,

Pamela J. Lindsay, South Daytona; three stepchildren, Ernest Findley, Holt,

Mich., Louise Mack, Swansboro, N.C., Donna Banker, Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren;

and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Donations may be

made in her memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port

Orange, FL 32129. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral

Home, Daytona Beach.
