Phyllis Ann Carland
Phyllis Ann Carland, 63, New Smyrna Beach, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to the area in 1995 from Miami. While in Miami she was a U. S. Customs Agent for the Department of Treasury for 14 years. After moving to New Smyrna Beach, she was a medical secretary at the V.A. Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach for ten years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John C.; one son, Johnny Carland of New Smyrna Beach; one daughter, Christine (Jason) Brownlow of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Rick Neves of Cullman, Alabama and two grandchildren, Cameron and Lillian Brownlow, both of Charlotte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to , P. O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.
