Robert D. Crusan

Robert D. Crusan, 88, died peacefully December 18, 2006, at Kist Assisted Living Facility in Holly Hill. Mr. Crusan was a resident of Grand Oaks Circle, Daytona Beach. Born November 25, 1918, he moved to Florida from Maryland in 1979. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps for six years, retiring with the rank of master sergeant. Before retiring he worked at the Naval Surface Weapons Center, Whiteoak, Md. For much of his life, Mr. Crusan devoted his time to veteran activities where he volunteered over 500 hours to our veterans. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (Life Member) #1590, Military Order of the Cootee (Life Member), the American Legion of Holly Hill, and the Elks in Port Orange. He will sadly be missed by his son, Brian, Ormond Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Pinello Funeral Home, 1036 Derbyshire Road, Daytona Beach, where Pastor Sean Garner will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach. Pinello Funeral Home is in charge.
