Memorial service for Robert Holz-schuh, 85, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. Mr. Holzschuh was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Harrison, N.J. He was retired as chief of police of East Newark, N.J., and moved here in 1993 from Stroudsburg, Pa. He served in the Army during World War II, 10th Mountain Division, and was a lifetime member of National Association of Chief of Police and the Disabled Veterans Association. In addition, he was a member of the Fla. Sheriffs Association, American Legion, Christ Presbyterian Church of Ormond Beach, and VFW Post #1590. He enjoyed stamp collecting, cards and fishing. He is survived by four sons, Robert A., Ormond Beach, Richard G., Point Pleasant, N.J., Dennis G., Ormond Beach, and Kenneth J., Hillsborough, N.J.; two daughters, Carol Miller and Pamela Kleinschmidt, Stroudsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Frederick, Toms River, N.J., and Thomas, Kearny, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara Ann. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Association. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.
