Robert "Bob" Joseph Watson, 70, passed away on December 29, 2011 at Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm Coast, FL. Visitation will be held on January 6, 2012 from 12 noon until the Funeral Service at 1 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL. Interment to immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Bob was born in Kearny, NJ and moved to Hazlet, NJ where he graduated from Keyport high School. After graduation Bob joined the United States Navy. He quickly earned his PO2 ranking serving in the Cold War, Cuban Missile Crisis and aboard the USS Harwood. In the 1980's Bob moved to Florida. He became a member of the VFW Post 8696 Palm Coast and the D.A.V of Flagler. He enjoyed spending his time Bass Fishing, Bird watching, and visiting the ocean. Bob was a huge NY Giants fan, never missing a game but he most loved and cherished spending time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Jeanie and two months ago by his beloved service dog and companion of 13 years "Crew Chief". He is survived by his son CJ Watson; daughters, Sharon Watson-Toro and Michelle Watson, all of Palm Coast; and daughter, Carolyn Watson-Sierra of North Carolina; brothers, Jackie, Jimmie and Thomas Watson; and sister, Kathleen Gillespie. Bob was also the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and father-in-law to Chrissy Watson, Henry Toro and John Sierra.
