Verna Anne Skurka Londoño
Verna died July 1, 2018 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was raised in Duncanville, AL. A Graduate of TCHS 1966 and University Of Alabama with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education. She was very proud to have taught the Choctaw Indians in Mississippii, high school in California, and English to foreign speakers at Daytona Beach Community College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Survivors include a husband, Jaime Londoño, a son, V.Warren Londoño; four siblings: Kathleen Skurka, Teresa Skurka Davis, Lee Albert Skurka, and Marie Skurka Miller; one grandson, Logan Hawke Londoño; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held in Tuscaloosa, AL TBD.
