Veronica Ann (Woodall) McNeil Obituary

Veronica Ann (Woodall) McNeil, 59, of Daytona Beach, passed away February 26, 2017 at Florida Memorial Hospital, with her husband Wally, and son Chris by her side. Veronica was the first born to George & Vita Woodall in Newark, NJ on September 25, 1957. She spent her childhood in Mountainside, NJ, and graduated from Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ in 1975. Most of her adult life was spent in Ocean County, NJ where she met the love of her life Wally McNeil. Wally and Veronica moved to Ormond Beach, FL in 2000. After several years with First Union Mortgage, Veronica started her own company: First Mortgage Trust of Ormond Beach, FL. Veronica retired in 2014 and was able to enjoy being a Grandmother full time. She loved to travel and loved to watch the sunrise over the ocean with her husband. Veronica loved her cats, and enjoyed her daily Starbucks, and was well known at several Starbucks locations. Veronica was also a lifelong fan of NASCAR's Tony Stewart. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Katie & Connor, most of all - they meant the world to her. Veronica was preceded in death by her mother Vita E. Woodall and her beloved aunt and godmother Carmella Ann Worton. She is survived by her loving husband Wally McNeil, her sons, retired Air Force Captain Jeffrey Schwerdt of Arizona and Chris Schwerdt of Daytona Beach, and father George Woodall. Veronica is also survived by her two brothers, Chris and Raymond Woodall, two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Connor, nieces and nephews, Ray Jr., Rachel, Kristie, Nicholas, Amanda, Brick, Fawn, Theresa and Brian, and cousins Richie, Barry, and Carmella Worton. A celebration of Veronica's life will be held at a later date. Veronica adored her cats, so in lieu flowers please consider making a donation to the ARNI Foundation at www.arnifoundation.org.
