AMemorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2009 in the Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road. Immediately following the service a reception will be held in the Clubhouse at Breakaway Trails, 16 Breakaway Trails, Ormond Beach. William R. Clark, 82, of Ormond Beach, passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2009 at Signature Healthcare of Ormond. He was born on February 26, 1927 to the late Reuben and Nellie (nee Rollins) Clark in Cambridge, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabees serving during World War II. He retired after 33 years as an engineer with AT&T in New Jersey. In 1985 he moved to this area from New Jersey. He was a Life member of the VFW Post #1590 (Daytona Beach), a Life member of the American Legion Post #267 (Ormond Beach), a member of the Ormond Beach Elks Lodge 2193, the Ormond Beach Moose Lodge, Daytona Beach Moose Lodge, and the Port Orange Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge #4089. He enjoyed karoke, dancing, and building computers. He was predeceased by his wife, Lola, of 46 years, who passed away on October 1, 1994. Survivors include his son, William of Ormond Beach, FL; two daughters, Gail (Ron) Holck of Ormond Beach and Kim (Andrew) Ranucci of Colorado; and six grandchildren, Chelsea, Lindsey, Amy, Jacob, Zachariah and Rachel. Memorial Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.
