i miss you!

hey sam, it's been a year! i look back and it has gone fast, i still miss you and think about you quite often so many times i wanted to email or call you but then it hits me your gone. i know these post will be removed soon so i just wanted to write to you one more time! i have yet to find another friend quite like you i miss just hanging out and talking about life, business, family and everything in between sam i will remember you for ever and some day we can hang out again until then i will have this void and i hope with time it will fill, take care my friend.

It has been almost 8 months now since you raced away and today would have been your birthday.. Happy Birthday Sam!!!! Someone once told me that people are put into your life for a reason, a season or for a lifetime. The seasons will come and go just as the waves on the shore. Your memory is still a part of my Everyday. Not long ago while walking on the beach collecting shells with my daughter, now 7, out of the clear blue she stopped and wrote your name in the sand with her toes and ended it with a big heart. When i asked her what made her think of you at that moment, she shrugged her shoulders and said, " I don't know, i just really miss his smile mom, and the ocen made me think of that time when he let me and Nicole fill the swimming pool with bubbles. That was fun!" The one thing I read over and over is how all of your friends will miss your smile. It was so beautiful. All of us will miss the sparkle of your smile, the laughter in your soul (a quality you left in Michael)the gentleness of your words, the mischeif in your eyes (just like Nicole) the sacasm of your jokes and pranks (only to be matched by Patrick) and the direction of your knowledge.. You will be missed for all of these things that made you, YOU.. As the time passes and the dust begins to settle please be sure to look down from the golden roads you now travel upon and know that the world was a better place for once having you in it. Thank you for the life lessons learned, thank you for the memories made, the friends discoved, thank you for the laughter ~ and even that stupid dance move. Thank you for the tears that still fall sometimes, crying clenses the soul.. This is not "Goodbye," this is "so long," my dear sweet friend until we meet again.. May your heart and soul now know what real love and peacefullness feels like. You will be missed today and always...

I have just now heard about this. Sam was one of my very first friends in kindergarten. We grew up together but lost contact with one another through out the years. I have many fond memories of him growing up. What a great, funny & lovable guy! I still have a story about him that I tell to this very day! I know that he was loved and will be missed by many....... Much love to you Sam and to your family...... you will always be remembered as a wonderfully kind and gentle human being......

it's been almost 5 months since you passed and not a day goes by that i don't think about you...we are moving forward with the subway we planned to open. I hope to have it done by june 2009 i talk to sharon alot to check in and the kids are doing ok, i am kinda shocked to see the posts have stoped shortly after your funeral? i thought it was pretty cool what you did in my car a couple of days after you passed, i will share this with our friends to keeps you fresh in our minds!for the record, as we were driving back (Bart and I) from tampa i just got off the phone with sharon about the arrangement, we were talking about you and the differant stories over the years a song came on the radio it was an old song with an verse about dying and a ghost. I think the song was a ghost with no name?when it played bart and i got quiet and as the song played the alarm on the dash started going off several lights on the dash were flashing and the over head lights went on and the rear right side passange door opened and then closed and in seconds it stoped i pulled over to check the door and it was closed tight! the cool part is the bmw 750li has a self closing door system and that is the side my baby rides on and i keep the child lock on all the time so when i opened it to see why this happened the child lock was still engaged! thanks for thinking about us and saying goodbye sam that was pretty cool shocking but cool, as you can imagine bart and i had a lot to talk about after that and as you would guess we said goodbye to sam. it would be like him to somehow mess with us! for those who read this lets continue to post we have till the end of the year till it is removed, it makes me feel good to see sam had so many friends!

Sam always had a ready smile and a good word through our high school years. He will be missed, much sympathy to the family and friends.

My sympathy to the Yunick Family. I went to grade school with Sam at Warner Academy. He was one of the funniest and kindest people I have ever met. I hope all of the kind words people have expressed here are a comfort to his family.

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR FAMILIES LOSS. I HAVE KNOW SAM FOR YEARS, AND I ALWAYS HAD THE HONOR OF TINTING HIS TOYS. HE WILL BE MISSED.

I met sam in highschool we only had one accounting class together but I never forgot him, he was one of the funniest and real people I ever met. I've thought of him often over the years. I was reading about our upcoming class reunion today and saw he had passed....

I've known Sam since elementary school. He was one of the best guys I have ever known. He was the type of guy that would always go out of his way to help someone. He will be missed.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy
to Sam's family. I am very stunned and saddened by this terrible news. Sam and I were close friends beginning in kindergarten and continuing into high school. He was such a great guy to know and I regret that we fell out touch these later years. I know he will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. I know I will never forget all of my fond memories of him.

My sympathies to Sam's family. Sam and I were really close when we were about 10 or 11 years old. I'm very sad to hear of his death at such a young age. It sounds like he made good use of his short time here and touched many people.

It's really touching reading all the entries written about Sam. In the 16 years that I've known him, he was always go go go and smiling. The kids look just like him and go go go as well. Hold faith he is watching over them. His soul is still within all who were touched by him. Keep hold of all those great memories.

In all my working years, I had never had a boss like Sam. I think I can speak for all his managers when I say he was loved by each and every one of us. He had a special relationship with us all.
I loved him for the time he helped an employee who was homeless and sent $200 with no strings attached, I loved him for the time he helped an employee with $1000 for college, I loved him for his crazy Christmas song he would sing every year to me over the phone at work during the holiday season, I loved him for taking the time to talk to my daughter when she was so ill and encouraging her that things would get better, I just loved Sam for all he was and will miss him.

It broke my heart to hear the news about Sam. I first met him when he was just a little guy - about 5 or 6. He was a hoot and he sure kept you mom busy, Trish. I remember she once said jokingly that Sam was "everything bad I ever did that is coming back to haunt me". :-)

Sam was always a stand up guy. I have not seen him much over the years, but I will always remember him fondly.

THe world has lost an Angel who walked this earth when Sam was called home to be with the Lord. I am so grateful that this gift that was Sam was in my life and both of my parents lives until they passed away. Sam had told my mother on her death bed that he would always watch over me and take care of me,he did that for the last 7 years since her passing and now he will watch over me from Heaven. I will rejoice when the day comes that I go home also and can once again gaze on that smiling face of Sam and thank him for being my friend and protector.
To dear Sharon and her family my words could not possibly express the grief and loss that I know you are feeling at this time but know that the Lord will help you through this and that Sam in his last weeks had come to know the Lord in a personal way and that prepared him for his journey home I have no doubt. I am so sorry to hear about your brother's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I've known Sam & Sharon for amost two decades now. Sam was so full of energy that I often described him as a golf ball that had been hit inside of a small room - bouncing off all the walls, going in all directions! Yes, he did love his cars, but he loved his kids more. Sam touched so many people in his short life and was always looking for ways to help others rather than himself. Sam, you will be missed by many.

I worked in the ponte vedra subway for about three years and I am so shocked to hear this news! Sam was a great man, who was always kind to me. He even paid for my college classes and let me pay him back a little at a time. What a great person to work for! I always say it's never the business that makes going to work worthwhile, it's the people that you work with, and it was always nice to see his smile...I'll never forget him and I pray for his family/kids and friends during this time of grievance.

Tony and I are still in shock of the news. We have lost a dear friend. I know Tony loved and looked up to Sam so much. He was family. I will remember Sam as always smiling, positive and truly generous in every way. He opened his heart and home when we visited, and I got to see what an amazing father he was to his children. We enjoyed having him visit us and only wish we had been able to see him once again. I loved watching him and Tony joke around. Sam brought so much life and laughter into our lives. I am forever grateful to him for all the advice and brotherly love he extended to Tony. It is a heartbreaking loss that is hard to understand and will not be easy to recover from. In closing we send our heartfelt wishes of comfort, love, and prayers to his children and family. May God give everyone affected by this great loss the comfort and strength needed to see it through. The world has lost one of a kind.

We only knew Sam for just over a year, he was always full of life and like a big kid, played with his big toy cars. My wife and I are both in shock by his passing. Nothing can ever prepare us for a sudden loss of friends. My wife and I are so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. Sam was a saviour to my son Tony in Atlanta when he needed help. What he and his family did for my son was incredible and will always be remembered. When Sam and I talked he would always tell me that he would take care of Tony and that I didn't have to worry.
