GARY KIEL Obituary

Gary Wayne Kiel of Flagler Beach passed away peacefully on January 26th 2013. He was born in
Muscatine, Iowa on May 8, 1939 and moved to Florida in 1957. Gary graduated from Mainland HS in 1958, served in the U.S. Army and was an honorably discharged Vietnam Veteran. In 1976, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bethune Cookman. Gary worked locally in real estate with the family business and finished his career with Florida's Department of Transportation. He was also a Paul Harris award winning former president of the Rotary Club. He is survived by Claire, his wife of 37 years, his two sons, David and Gary Jr, and three daughters, Angela, Michelle, and Jeanne, as well as 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 31 at Clymer's Funeral Home, 39 N. Old Kings Rd, Palm Coast, FL 32137 from 5-7pm. The memorial service will be held at the same location on Friday, February 1 at 9 a.m.. He will be laid to rest immediately following the memorial service at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Gary's name to The Galactosemia Foundation or the charity of your choice. The Family of Mr. Kiel entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home and Cremations.

I just learned of the loss of Gary. My deepest sympathy for you and your family. I knew Gary through the Daytona Beach Chess Club and also managed some apartments for him thru their real estate agency. My prayers are with you and your family.
